Main Stories and News *Ting*'s Trip To Palestine / Israel - April 2004 My trip to Palestine was one of discovery, learning and facing fears. To say that I wasn't scared to go would be misleading as I was. I too very much bought into the hype that you would DEFINITELY be killed if you went. This is just not true. I believe that the media tells us these things in order to stop us from going and getting in the way or discovering the truth. That innocent people are being driven from their homes and killed in an highly unlawful occupation which to my mind is very much the responsibility of the USA and England more so than anyone else. I am planning on going back to meet with Israeli's more this time as I would like to really get a feel for the people there. This trip was definitely more about the Palestinians and the ones that I met, shared their homes and lives with me, and were just amazing. Even though they are completely surrounded by walls and not free even in the smallest sense of the word, they keep their spirits up and you can see love and passion flowing through them all. They are a gentle race of people and if you look at the pictures you too will see that they do not wish for pain or war with anyone. TAIPEI (AFP) Jun 26, 2001 Taiwan is secretly developing a cruise missile which could be used to strike most of rival China's military establishments, a report said Tuesday. In tests the missile has demonstrated a range of hundreds of kilometers, and the researchers hope to work out weaponry with a range up to 1,000 kilometers (620 miles), the United Daily News said. Last week the paper said that authorities were also developing a surface-to-surface missile with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers. The Chinese-language daily said the cruise missile, developed under the "Hsiungfeng II E project," was virtually a copy of the Tomahawk missile which has served the US armed forces. The 6.25 meter (20.6 feet) long Tomahawk has a range of up to 1,249 kilometers (749.4 miles). Should a war break out, the missile could be used to attack China's missile bases, military commands, ammunition depots, naval bases and power plants in the Shenyang, Beijing, Jinan, Nanjin and Guangdong military districts, the paper said. It said the two weaponry development projects mark a deviation of Taiwan's military strategy, which has focused its efforts on defense against China rather than on offense. Beijing has accused Taipei of acquiring more offensive weapons, notably from the United States, a move which China said was aimed at bringing war to the mainland. The George W.
